Designing unique wearable art for the home sewer is the primary mission of award-winning clothing artist Frances Krupka.
She has been making clothing for herself and family for over 50 years, and after the quilting bug bit it wasn’t long before she was designing jackets, vests, and bags. Fran’s popular designs inspired a company, Franceska Creations, to share her ideas with others.
Her original garments appear in shows around the country and have won awards, including Bernina Fashion Show Viewer’s Choice in 2003, and prizes at other national and international shows. Recycled neckties appear in many of Fran’s original show pieces, and some design ideas are featured in the co-authored book Tied Up!.
Frances teaches at local quilt shops and presents her customized trunk show to guilds and shops. Her designs can be found at www.franceskacreations.com.
