Maggie succumbed to breast cancer in February 2022. She was a wonderful friend and generous mentor to me. She is sorely missed. Marguerita

I have been quilting for over 25 years and enjoy using a variety of techniques, creating my own designs from elements of traditional patterns. My quilts have been exhibited both locally and nationally and I travel the world to teach quilting.
Teaching quilting seems a natural extension of my passion and I find it rewarding.
My first books teach quilting with children, a subject that I’m passionate about. In my book third book,Traditional Quilts with a Twist, I’ve tweaked traditional patterns to make over 20 new designs. I selected three old favorites, Trip Around the World, Ohio Star, and Bear’s Paw on which to base my variations. I love to design and play with patterns and hope to convey this passion through my books. My latest book, Bargello Quilts With A Twist, continues to build on updated design ideas and re-thinking the traditional quiltmaking process.
I am trained and certified by the Northern California Quilt Council to judge quilts and wearable art. Contact me for a judging résumé.
