BobKat Quilts is ZOOM’ing ahead!

An educator for more than 40 years, Kathy brings her love of quilting, teaching and problem solving to the classroom as a Judy Neimeyer Quiltworx Instructor. From lectures to demonstrations, classes, workshops and retreats, Kathy will happily work with you to create the custom experience for you and your students. Here’s her list: https://bobkatquilts.com/services-3/

For the past decade, Kathy has enjoyed sharing her love of quilt making with guilds and shops across the Midwest.  Then, in January of 2019 she moved to Texas!  And in the spring of 2020, she has gone nationwide!  Thanks to her history as a software instructor, our current stay-at-home situation provided Kathy with an opportunity to meld her computer experience with her love of teaching quilt making.

In May of 2020 – Kathy moved from the brick and mortar classroom to the virtual classroom ….  ZOOM.  Her first class had more than 20 students and it went great!  Visit her on Facebook (BobKat Quilts) or at her website to see what her students have to say about their ZOOM experience.  Whether you represent a guild looking for a presenter with ZOOM capabilities or you are a student wanting to take a class…  BobKat Quilts and Zoom is the perfect answer!

Visit Kathy at BobKat Quilts at www.bobkatquilts.com where you can learn about the classes currently on her calendar.  Or Kathy would love to talk to you about the perfect ZOOM presentation and workshop or to be featured at your guild or through your shop or retreat.

I have heard a very, very favorable review from a trusted guild member regarding how much they enjoyed Kathy’s program and how proficient she was with Zoom technology. ~Marguerita

Deanne Eisenman

Deanne-Eisenman2Home: Osage, Iowa

Snuggles Quilts Owner/Designer

I began my pattern design company, Snuggles Quilts, in May of 2003. I have since successfully marketed my patterns to shops around the country from my home based business in Osage, Iowa. I have been quilting for over 25 years and have designed over 100 individual patterns ranging from pillows and table runners to lap quilts.

I have had 27 patterns published in a variety of quilt magazines since 2008; three chosen for the cover. Recently, my patterns have appeared in Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, McCall’s Quilting, Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks and Primitive Quilts & Projects Magazine. I have also had patterns featured in five calendars over the years.

My first book, Country-Fresh Quilts, was published by Martingale & Company in August of 2008. In February of 2011 my second book with
Martingale, Scrap Quilts Go Country, was released. My third book, Blooming Patchwork, was just published by Kansas City Star Quilts (now owned by C & T Publishing) in October of 2014. Quilts from my last two books are currently touring quilt shops around the country for trunk shows.

I have lectured and taught many classes in quilt shops and at guilds around the Mid-West. Most of my classes are based on one of my favorite techniques, needle-turn hand appliqué. I have also taught classes in wool appliqué and general beginner pattern piecing.

Working at home in my studio has been a dream come true. I love the entire process of developing a pattern. From designing to writing the pattern to constructing a sample, there is no better way to spend a day. Seeing a project emerge from the initial drawings on graph paper to a finished quilt is what keeps my days interesting! I am married to a great guy, Craig with whom I have raised two wonderful children, Alyssa and Mitchell.

They have been a great support system when it comes to my quilting “obsession”. Two other members of the family are our cats, Snuggles, the company namesake (who believes she owns every quilt sample I make) and Addie Lou who is often found snoozing on top of a stack of quilts in my studio.

My web site, www.snugglesquilts.com, showcases all of my designs.

Jennifer Houlden

JenniferHoulden3Home: Barrie, Ontario, Canada

I have been quilting for just over ten years and it all started back in 2002 in Yellowknife, NWT. While living in Yellowknife I was very lucky to be able to take many classes from local instructors as well as from instructors the guild brought in from all over Canada and the USA. With a couple of trips to Quilt Canada and some amazing classes I was addicted to the art of quilting.

I began my designing career in Australia when we lived in the Outback. In 2010 I took several on-line classes with Ruth Blanchett, owner of Arbee Designs. My relationship with Arbee Designs developed from this and I have been designing quilt patterns for Ruth ever since. As well as designing for Arbee I also teach at The Academy of Quilting for them. While in Australia I developed my own label, Quilts by Jen.

Upon returning to Canada my company, Quilts By Jen, has developed and grown allowing me to design, write patterns, teach classes and put on trunk shows for local guilds and shops. Please visit Jen’s Website for more information and booking details.

Linda M Poole

March 14, 2013 by Rita

LindaMPooleHome: Milford, Pennslvania

My whole life has always revolved around photography, writing, painting, and sewing. These interests have fueled my passion for travel, teaching, and sharing my experiences with people around the world. I have taught throughout the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, and Italy. I believe language is never a barrier in the translation of quilts.

Let the things you see in my book be a springboard for your imagination. Each pattern gives you choices – use commercial fabrics, paint your fabric, or do both!

Linda Poole lives with her husband Ray Williams and Corgi pup Zoie near Milford, Pennsylvania, a beautiful region in the northeastern part of the state. Together they share the passion of discovering the gifts of nature while hiking trails that lead to creeks, brooks, rivers, and lakes. Ray can be found with his fishing pole in hand with Linda by his side clicking away with her camera. Visit Linda’s Website.
