A little about me…
Loving romance and all it entails naturally leads me to pretty, tasteful and romantic fabrics. I’m inspired to design patterns and quilts with the same charm and grace as the fabric designer. I love colors of all hues and floral prints are my favorite but once in a while I break out of my box and play with brights and batiks.

Lecturing and teaching workshops is all joy to me. I love spending time with other quilters and sharing our quilting passion. Making quilts and designing patterns over the past 18 years I have been able to produce quilts of varying ability and challenges. I truly enjoy teaching and watching other quilters explore color, patterns and design and consider myself blessed to see their finished beauty.

Like most quilters, I’m usually working on about 5-10 projects which teaches me as well…Thank you for considering me. Please take a look at my website Ladylike Designs and contact me at bevquiltlady @ aol.com to come teach for you!

Jaci Lawson

April 30, 2017 by Rita

Home: Dover, New Hampshire

When I was 9 years old, I saw a beautiful, knitted bikini in a magazine. My first thought was “I can do that!” I have been creating the impossible and the improbable ever since and luckily most turn out better than that bathing suit!

Currently working on a beer bottle garden edging and an outdoor pantry featuring a repurposed wooden boat, my projects tend to ensnare husband, family and unsuspecting friends.

An art quilter from Dover, NH, I have been quilting since 2007 and I made my first art quilt in 2009. My art quilts have since been shown in local art exhibits, local and regional quilt shows and a local craftsmen outlet.

I have also designed original purse and craft projects and my original luggage tag design was published in Quilts and More, Summer 2011. Recently, I have had two cathedral window projects published in The Quilt Pattern Magazine.

I have given demos on art quilting techniques at our local quilt show. I have also given demonstrations on fabric collage and other art techniques including a 3-D challenge at the Cocheco Quilt Guild Art Bee.

I am a member of the Cocheco Quilt Guild as well as a founding member and leader of the Cocheco Quilter’s Guild Art Bee. I have received a many winning ribbons in the annual Cocheco Quilt Guild Challenge Contest and recently I have been designing the annual mystery quilt for the guild.

After majoring in everything from political science to sociology, I eventually received a BA in English from the University of NH (2005).
My greatest achievement is living happily with the same husband for over 30 years despite dragging him into every home and garden project I could dream up. He lives in fear of 5 words, “Honey, I have an idea!” We have 3 extraordinary daughters, and 3 exceptional grandchildren. Truly, the Lord has been good to us and blessed our home.

BobKat Quilts is ZOOM’ing ahead!

An educator for more than 40 years, Kathy brings her love of quilting, teaching and problem solving to the classroom as a Judy Neimeyer Quiltworx Instructor. From lectures to demonstrations, classes, workshops and retreats, Kathy will happily work with you to create the custom experience for you and your students. Here’s her list: https://bobkatquilts.com/services-3/

For the past decade, Kathy has enjoyed sharing her love of quilt making with guilds and shops across the Midwest.  Then, in January of 2019 she moved to Texas!  And in the spring of 2020, she has gone nationwide!  Thanks to her history as a software instructor, our current stay-at-home situation provided Kathy with an opportunity to meld her computer experience with her love of teaching quilt making.

In May of 2020 – Kathy moved from the brick and mortar classroom to the virtual classroom ….  ZOOM.  Her first class had more than 20 students and it went great!  Visit her on Facebook (BobKat Quilts) or at her website to see what her students have to say about their ZOOM experience.  Whether you represent a guild looking for a presenter with ZOOM capabilities or you are a student wanting to take a class…  BobKat Quilts and Zoom is the perfect answer!

Visit Kathy at BobKat Quilts at www.bobkatquilts.com where you can learn about the classes currently on her calendar.  Or Kathy would love to talk to you about the perfect ZOOM presentation and workshop or to be featured at your guild or through your shop or retreat.

I have heard a very, very favorable review from a trusted guild member regarding how much they enjoyed Kathy’s program and how proficient she was with Zoom technology. ~Marguerita
